Account
A financial account for bookkeeping. This is not a user-account for signing in to Trever.
Asset
An asset is a resource with economic value that an individual, corporation, or country owns or controls with the expectation that it will provide future benefit. Assets are either CRYPTO (stored and published on a Distributed Ledger), or FIAT.
Client
A legal entity who owns the workspace.
Customer
The end-customer or the customer of the client who does not sign in to Trever.
Know-Your-Customer (KYC)
A process used by businesses to verify the identity of their clients, assess potential risks of illegal intentions for the business relationship, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations. This is a critical function in the prevention of fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
A security system that requires more than one method of authentication from independent categories of credentials to verify the user’s identity for a login or other transaction. Examples include a combination of something you know (password), something you have (time-based one-time password).
Order Management System (OMS)
A software system used to manage and trades digital assets. It facilitates order routing, order execution, and tracking of the lifecycle of orders, ensuring compliance with trading regulations.
Request For Quotation (RFQ)
A business process in which a client requests a quote from a supplier for the purchase of specific products or services. It is typically used in procurement to gather pricing and terms from different suppliers to make an informed purchasing decision.
Role-based Access Control (RBAC)
A method of regulating access to computer or network resources based on the roles of individual users within an enterprise. RBAC ensures that users have access to only the information and resources necessary for their roles, enhancing security and efficiency.
Services
A specific service to communicate with the API of a third-party service provider.
Customer Integration Service
A service that facilitates the integration of customer data and transactions between Trever and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
Pricestream Integration Service
A service that integrates real-time price data from external sources into the system for use in Trever Trading.
Trading Integration Service
A service that enables the execution of trades through external trading venues or brokers by interfacing with their APIs.
Trading Reconciliation Service
A service that ensures that trading records in Trever match those of external trading venues, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Treasury Integration Service
A service that manages treasury functions such as cash management, liquidity forecasting, and investment through integration with external financial institutions.
Treasury Reconciliation Service
A service that ensures that treasury transactions recorded in Trever match those in external financial institutions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Symbol
A combination of two different assets traded against each other. The symbol has the schema <base asset> / <quote asset>
, whereas the base asset is the asset which is received for a buy execution or spent for a sell execution. The quote asset is the counter side, i.e., the asset which is spent for buying the base asset, or received for selling the base asset. The attribute amount

is always denoted in quote asset.
Trever Trading (OMS)
Execution
An execution is a composition of orders in Trever Trading. It refers to the completion of a buy or sell order in the market.
Side
Either buy or sell. This determines if the base asset is received or spent.
Route
A predefined path for an execution, often involving multiple venues or counterparties, to achieve the best possible price and minimize costs or market impact.
Trever Treasury (TMS)
Route
A predefined path for managing the movement of assets, including liquidity management, investment strategies, and risk mitigation, often across multiple financial institutions and accounts.
Settlement
A route for settling (not always move) assets from a source wallet to a destination wallet. Settlement finalizes the trade or transfer and ensures that both parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
Transfer
A route for moving assets from a source wallet to a destination wallet. This can involve different banks, accounts, or currencies.
Treasury Management System (TMS)
A software application that automates the management of a clients financial operations, including cash flow, assets, liabilities, and investments. It helps in optimizing liquidity, managing risk, and ensuring corporate compliance.
User
A person associated with the client who signs in to Trever.
Venue
A third-party connection to an API service provider, categorized as the following:
- Trading Venue
- Treasury Venue
- Custom Data Provider
Each venue corresponds to a client’s workspace. A venue can have multiple services.
Workspace Asset
A workspace-wide reference asset (e.g., EUR, USD, CHF) used within a specific workspace environment to standardize and manage balance, risk and reporting.
